Fast, fearsome, pictures landscape, great party and hotel rooms for everybody…these are pretty much the best words to describe what Alpenrauschen Freeride is all about.
Back in 2015 when we first saw this road we couldn't believe what we just found.
The pavement is in mint condition and immediately we knew that this is going to be a fast one.
The course is challenging and long, just a perfect place for some serious big mountain downhill skating. The combination of everybody staying in a hotel and this perfect track is just what makes this freeride so popular within the downhill skateboarding scene.

All this happens in the middle of the Austrian Alps, surrounded by snow covered peaks.
After the skate warm food, cold beer and a miniramp is waiting at the hotel for all riders. Video premiers will be shown, follow runs from the day and other stuff will be shown at the main hotel.
Skate, eat, party sleep and repeat 4 days long. Alpenrauschen!
Once you arrive on top of the hill at your accommodation you kind of get the feeling of being on a snowboard or skiing vacation with 200 other skaters.
The first part of the track is mellow and perfect for warm up but once you pass the tunnel adrenaline pumps in your veins and speed mode is on. If you want to accelerate just go into tuck and you will, it works like a gas pedal of a car. Good thing about the track is that it is really divers, many sweepers, hairpins, long straight fast sections…anything a skaters heart can ask for.
