EVENT IN
THE WORLD!
The Transylvania Downhill 2k18 event comes in this year bigger, better and loooonger,the event will take place on the same
monster race track near city of Lupeni in the Straja ski resort 25 - 29 JUNE. The rider limit is 250.
This year there won’t be transfers from airports and the organisers recommend renting a car as this is the most cheapest and convenient way to get to event from airport if you are traveling in a group.
When you will be arriving at the location, after you will be amazed of the race track and of how much you will skating , you’ll need to make your way to the registration point, where you will check in and you will receive a bracelet which gives you unlimited gondola rides, your TDH t-shirt and stickers and you will be shown your room, the rooms are served on a first come 1 served basis, so if you’d like to share a room, or a double bed, (please note a double bed counts as 2 places) with a friend you’ll have more chances to stay together if you arrive at the same time.

Don’t forget that this race track has a natural spring in the middle of the course. You can stop anytime and hydrate yourself with the purest and freshest water from the mountain. But have no worries there’s also water point at Finish Line. The tarmac on the course is in a very good condition and requires grippy wheels in order to take the wide hairpins at high speed and be more stable in the upcoming blind sweepers. The race track,beside fast is very technical so the type if the wheels you will be using depends on your style. But be careful, this hill does shred wheels.
The categories for TDH will be OPEN, Juniors and Women. And the awards for 1st,2nd,3rd,4th, Best Time, Best Speed.

The race track will be longer for the the RACE and it includes 2 more hairpins,one at the top and one at the bottom, the whole freeride track has total of 7km of which 6 will be secured with haybales,tyres etc. and will have a total of 30 Marshall, 3 are certified 1st aiders and will be positioned in high risk areas among the course. An ambulance team will be present at event too.

​I think you’d love and you’ll miss spending your time if not on the race but in this magical place, where Dj’s will be playing all day long while you can enjoy refreshments or some fresh and quality food cooked by our injured brother Fren from Bench Collective. There will be a big half pipe, so if you skate bring the little one too (hehe), the crew intends to do a mini contest there too. If you don’t skate you can train your balance on the slack lines or balance boards or play an X-box game projected on 3mx3m screen. Tents to keep you protected from the hot sun and you can take your beauty nap in peace too. Also this is the place where you can fix your flat-spot or other problems, buy new wheels at discounted prices or the tool you might have lost or something.

Wi-fi is available in all hotels and breakfast will be served every morning.
More traditional food you can find at some hotels in the resorts but also food will be served in our Fun Area.
You are advised to bring warm clothes as it can get cold on the mountain at 1440m altitude and also note that you cannot buy anything with a card so you will need to have on you the local currency which is Romanian Lei (RON)
