Pasul Vucan is a mountain pass in Hunedoara County of Romania on the Jiu Valley. The closest city is Vulcan and has been named after the pass. Descending from 1621m altitude the location offers breathtaking views over the valley and the track consists of 3km of very smooth asphalt, uplifts will be made by gondola allowing a no stop riding down the steepest road .
Serious speeds parts and hairpins followed by fast kinks will give an exciting and challenging race worth to be part of.

The hardcoreness comes in steepness percentage this time, 25% to be more precise, and it requires some steel balls and a strong set of skills to be able to make this hill your bitch. During the 26th and 30th of August 2017, in Pasul Valcan, near the city of Vulcan, be prepared to challenge yourself, it’s the place to test your limits and even get your skating to next level, there will be some wheels cored,a lot of speed, some bails and high levels of adrenaline.
A party will be thrown on the last day of the event, bringing in a strong soundsystem, including dj’s, event footage projected visuals, a huge half-pipe, so bring your skateboard too. The ambulance team will not be missing this event for sure.Bar,snacks and quality food will be available at bargain prices. Closest airports are Timisoara Airport or Sibiu.

The only video footage of the track DLC has at the moment is a youtubers car dash cam video, far from reality but good enough to give you a good insight of what the track looks like and to imagine your lines. The team has been there recently to skate and try and get some footage but after the winter the roads is still covered by snow on the top of it and the rest of the sections will need a proper spring rain that will clean the road and bring the fresh tarmac to shine. DLC hopes that by the end of May the road will be skateable and will present the 1st raw run of the Pasul Valcan track exclusively via all year longboard magazine.

Limit at TF is 100 riders, the accommodation it will be at the hotels on top of the track or camping,you can choose either option. The registration will cost around 140 Euro per rider and will include unlimited gondola uplifts, accommodation and more for this unique and challenging skate-all-you-can experience in the heart of Transylvania.
